Description

ARA-290 (Cibinetide) is an 11-amino-acid peptide derived from erythropoietin (EPO) that selectively activates the innate repair receptor (IRR), a heteromer of the EPO receptor and the beta common receptor. Unlike EPO itself, ARA-290 does not stimulate red blood cell production or increase hematocrit, making it a targeted tissue-protective and anti-inflammatory compound without the cardiovascular risks associated with EPO. ARA-290 promotes tissue repair, reduces inflammation, and has shown remarkable potential in neuropathic pain research. It works by activating anti-inflammatory pathways while simultaneously promoting the survival and function of cells under metabolic stress.
